I have been in contact
with Valerie & I told her that I was going to buy a pair of Val
slides and test them out and see how I like them. She just asked for my
address and sent me a Val
slide & a Valkit for Travel so I could test
them out and share my opinion on them (you can also check out my
reviews of the Valslide & Valband).
After using them for a while (and having other people use them) here is
what I think:
Quality:
Since the Valkit
for Travel includes a pair of Valslides & a Valband, the
quality is covered in my review of those two items. Overall excellent
quality and I haven't had any issues. (Check out my reviews of both the
Valslide & Valband to see an in-depth review)
The Amazing 7 DVD
that came with the Valkit for Travel was excellent quality and she did
a great job of demonstrating the exercises.
Overall quality of
the product is good & I have had no issues so far.
Portability:
As
both the Valslide & Valband are quite small, they are both very
portable. The bag that came with them is convenient and I simply place
the bag with the Valslide & Valband into my laptop case (women
can put it in their purse as it fits in most purses).
Effectiveness:
The
effectiveness of the Valslide and Valband is covered in my reviews of
each of those items (there are links to the reviews at the top
of this page).
The
only added benefit to the Valkit for Travel is the added travel tips
and exercise descriptions for the Valband exercises. The travel tips
are fairly basic, but provide a good reminder of things that we may
take for granted or just simply not think about & the exercise
demonstrations are handy for the Valband as it shows you how to use it.
Ease of
Use:
It
is quite easy to use, as both the Valslide & Valband are quite
self explanatory. Since the Valkit comes with a handy bag to carry them
in, there is no issues with transporting them or carrying them around.
Results:
You
can read about the results I've gotten from the Valkit in the results
section of my Valslide review.
Complaints:
I
only have one complaint (other than the one in my Valslide review) and
it has to do with the DVD & Instruction book and the bag.
That
complaint is that because the bag is made out of "netting", the corners
of the DVD case and the instruction book get caught on the bag, so it
is a bit of a nuisance to get them in and out.
However,
after a week or so of using the Valkit I no longer needed the
instruction manual or DVD, so was only a temporary problem.
Summary:
In
summation, the Valkit is an excellent value as the DVD provides good
demonstrations of some of the best exercises that can be done with the
Valslide.
The
Valslide & Valband are both excellent products and I have to
say my absolute favorite fitness tools. I have used them to strengthen
my knees and overcome my genetic knee problems, and I can feel the
difference in the effectiveness of my workouts and in my performance as
an athlete.
The
only people I can see the Valkit not being for is those who don't do
bodyweight exercises and prefer to use the machines at the gym.
